For Nearly All Flat Glass Applications
Our universal power window conversion kit will work for many classic cars and many custom applications that use flat glass windows, but to make sure our kit will fit your vehicle, here are the important dimensions:
- Glass must extend down into the door a minimum of 1-1/2” for attachment to the regulator. If current glass is too short, new glass will need to be sourced at a local shop.
- Tempered glass is highly recommended as it’s both safer and stronger than normal glass
- 16” straight up and down travel
- Must have a minimum of 1” clearance between glass and door to mount regulator
- Tracks measure 20” long x 1-3/8” wide
- Motor measures 5” wide x 6-1/4” long
- Kit has an overall depth of 2-3/8”
- Recommended available depth in door cavity of 2-1/2”
- Must have a minimum of 7” below the glass when the window is at its lowest position

A flexible actuator makes this power window kit ideal for an upgrade to a classic car or a custom street rod build. Pre-wired pigtails and wiring harness plug directly into switches and motors for easy, trouble-free installation. OEM style DPDT rocker switches with texturing on the down window side, make operation by touch simple and keep your eyes on the road. Switch bezels are included for a clean installation. Installation Tips
- Flat glass applications only. If windows have any curvature, we recommend using OEM replacement parts instead.
- 12-volt applications only.
- To protect your vehicles electric system, we recommend relay 91064004.
- Due to the universal fitment, some minor modification to your bracket may be required.
- We recommend checking your glass run channels and lower rubber window stop. Install a lower rubber window stop if one isn’t present, or replace if deteriorated.
- If custom glass is used, we highly recommend the use of safer, tempered glass.

Summary: Universal so knew needed modifications. Put in 1937 ford pickup. Have to cut mounting tabs flush and weld. First side took hours but once measurements were finalized 2nd side was 15min.
