HAMANN MOTORSPORT provides a tried and tested tuning-kit for the M coupe. The HAMANN air collector made from Carbon/ Kevlar immediately attracts the attention of the spectator when you open the bonnet. Due to its airbox- effect in Formula 1 technology, the power output is improved. During the conversion, the engine is armed with recalibrated ECU's for Motronic and VANOS, too. Also available without engine tuning is the HAMANN high performance exhaust system which is optionally available with four round or four DTM-style tail-pipes which supplies a sportingly sonorous sound. The M coupe from HAMANN accelerates in 4.9 seconds from 0-60 mph and after the elimination of the electronic speed limit, it reaches a maximum speed of 175 mph.
To be able to safely control these road performances anytime, numerous modifications on aerodynamics and suspensions were necessary. To reduce the lift at the front axle and to improve driving stability at high speeds, the standard front bumper is exchanged for a front spoiler bumper, which can be optionally furthermore upgraded using Carbon flippers. In addition, the HAMANN apron has integrated fog lights. The stock side-mirrors are replaced by HAMANN sports side mirrors. In addition, special air- scoops for the bonnet were moulded. The back of the M coupe is upgraded with round double rear lights.
HAMANN make the appearance of the M Coupe even more exciting with their modular HAMANN PG2 and PG3 light alloy wheels. Both designs use the dimension 8.5Jx19 on the front axle with Continental ContiSportContact tires of the size 235/35 ZR 19. The rear axle can be shod with 10Jx19 PG2 or 11Jx19 PG 3 wheels which are equipped with largely dimensioned 265/30 ZR 19 low profile tires.
A height-adjustable sports suspension lowers the open sportscar up to 40 millimeters and offers a tight but still comfortable tuning.
The HAMANN M-Coupe also got some changes on the interior: An ergonomically designed airbag- sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals and an aluminum gear-shift-lever-knob are identification marks as well as the colored dials for the instruments or the exclusive floor mat set with HAMANN logo.
