Awesome to look at but.....
Led strip is awesome. However the lights are not HID friendly. Meaning you have to retrofit projector lens to have hid lights. Which means taking apart brand new lights that you have just spent $250 bucks on. Led strip is wired to park lights only which means they do not run during the day unless you turn on park lights. There should have been optional wiring instructions just in case you want to wire strip as daytime running lights and/or turn signals. Also don't know if projector units were set at different degrees in light housing but the cut off lines between left and right headlights do not line up. If I make them line up, the actual light patterns on the road do not line up. Aggravating to say the least. Should be HID compatible but Nice looking product overallLed strip is awesome. First off the lights seem of good quality .. and seem to work well. I had read a few comments about the projectors not being bright enough and they seem adequate -- not super bright. High beams are real bright. I was expecting the led part to be on all the time as DRL however they are not on at all unless the light sensor in Auto mode turns on the headlights in full. If you manually put the light switch to running lights the leds will come on ( as well as if you put headlights in manual ON ) What sucks about this is if you want the leds on during the day you have to go out of Auto mode. Might be able to mod this but I haven't tried. I can NOT recommend these lights for the G8 if you expect an actual DRL LED headlight.First off the lights seem of good quality .. and seem to work well.
