Vellumoid 505 Fiber is a general-purpose cellulose fiber gasket material impregnated with
a protein and glycerin binder. It has exceptionally good sealing properties, is highly
conformable to compensate for distortions in flanges and is an economical solution for
many sealing applications. It is chemically inert in the presence of petroleum lubricating
oils, automotive gasolines, fuel oils and many organic solvents. Vellumoid 505 Fiber
provides excellent service in moderate duty, general-purpose applications at temperatures
