OEM 1959-1960 Harley 45 Gas Tank w/Repair Panel For Sale - New and Used

This is a left side Harley 45 gas tank with left side shift and a repair panel. The cross over part of tank (through frame) was removed in past and made into a flat back tank. This sale includes a good repair panel from another tank to replace this cross over through frame part of tank. Rpair panel has minimal area of pitting at inside rear corner, but needs no repair. Exterior of repair panel is very good. At one time, the tank had a peice of sheetmetal brazed to top from dashboard opening to rear of tank across to oil side tank to make it look like a one peice tank. The sheet metal has been removed and there are remanents of brazing and some metal shrinkage along inside top corner of tank from dashboard opening to rear of tank as shown in photo. This area can easily be fixed to have good appearence with body filler. Tank has recently been cleaned at radiator shop, no gas in it since then. I do not see any leaks in tank and rust is surface or flash rust from radiator shop cleaning. Threads at emblem inset have been brazed closed, however other threads look good. Gas cap is non vented Eaton, which someone has vented through top with small hole. This can make a solid tank, it is just beyond by talent on installing the repair panel.
