These Dog Bone caps are a reproduction of an original aftermarket accessory that were available during the Model T era. These cast chrome caps have a hole drilled in them for use with Jr. Moto-Meters and are 6-1/4” long. The Dog bone style makes removing your radiator cap easier by giving you a more convenient area to grip and to twist turn the hot cap, as the arms are outboard and they cool off in the air. Many people like using it to add some style to your Model T.

Summary: This cap looks real good once you figure out how much gasket thickness you need to get the dog bone to line up correctly (I ended up using a 3/16" thick O-ring). My first cap I broke off one of the dog bones trying to get it tight enough to line up (totally my fault, I do not blame the product for my stupidity). Please use a wrench.
