ABS is an important component of any heavy-duty truck's braking system. Not only does ABS keep wheels grounded, but it helps to prevent lock-up; skidding; and losing control of vehicles. It's important to pay attention to the warning‚signs of a failing ABS module including if the ABS warning light is illuminated; brake pedals become unresponsive or require more effort to engage and the speedometer fails. Driving with bad ABS is never recommended and should be promptly‚repaired after pre-trip inspections.
This 4S/4M ABS axle package provides an alternative to separate valve installation by combining a service brake relay valve with two ABS modulator valves. It contains a DIN 72585-A1-3.1-Sn/K1 electrical connection and has a 11 bar operating pressure and .28 response pressure. The 12 volt unit offers a temperature range of -40‚°C to +80‚°C and an IP66, IP69K protection class. Port thread measurements are as follow: Port 1: 1/2 - 14 Dry Seal NPTF; Port 2: 3/8 - 18 Dry Seal NPTF; Port 2.1: 1/2 - 14 Dry Seal NPTF; Port 3: Exhaust; Port 4: 1/4" - 18 Dry Seal NPTF. This unit is compatible with C, D and E version ECUs.
