A complete kit to supportthe installation of an oil metering pump adapter in your Mazda RX-8!Important: Buy this kit if you have a Left Hand Drive RX-8 (steering wheel on port (left) side of the vehicle) and already have purchased or installed a sohn adapter and you want a plate with an \"Evil M\" symbol. As an RX-8 owner and rotary engine enthusiast, you arealready aware that the apex seals within your Renesis engine requirelubrication. This is accomplished byinjecting oil into the epitrochoidal combustion chambers. In a stock RX-8, oil is drawn directly fromthe engine oil reservoir and injected into the engine by a small engine drivenpump. The downside of this stockapproach is that dirty 4-cycle engine oil is being injected into the combustionchamber, increasing the likelihood of carbon buildup and apex sealfailure. Additionally, the use ofsynthetic oil which would be beneficial to the rest of the engine is notrecommended since it resists combustion, further increasing the likelihood ofcarbon fouling
Installation of the adapter itself is only half the battle. You will also need a separate reservoir tohold the 2-stroke injection oil, a way to securely mount it within the enginecompartment and tubing to reliably deliver the oil to the adapter.

Our solution replaces the stockwindshield wiper fluid container with a rugged 1/8\" inch thick laser/water jet cut aluminumbackplate. Also included in the kit are twonew containers. The first is the oilreservoir which includes an integral ¼” fitting and an industrial-qualityvented cap. The second is for windshield wiper fluid. Both are constructed of clear HDPE; extremely rugged yet clear to allow easy monitoring of fluid levels. The wiper fluid container comes pre-cut so you can easily transferyour wiper fluid pump over and also includes a vented cap. Additionally, the kit comes with tubingspecifically formulated to resist the corrosive effects of hydrocarbon-basedfluids. It’s transparent yellow color alsoprovides for easy identification and flow monitoring and its operatingtemperature range is -35°F to 165°F. All supporting mounting hardware is alsoincluded.
