The Ventus V12 evo K110 is Hankook\'s Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and high performance sedans. The Ventus V12 evo is designed to combine comfort and control in dry and wet road conditions. However like all summer tires, the Ventus V12 evo is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
Ventus V12 evo radials feature Hankook\'s High Tg Polymer & Specific Resin (HPSR) compound molded into a directional tread design featuring a Multiple Tread Radius (MTR) profile that combines notched shoulder ribs, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to blend powerful braking with predictable handling. Wide circumferential and Y-shape lateral grooves help direct water through the tire\'s footprint to resist hydroplaning.
The tire\'s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by two-ply high-density, spirally wrapped jointless nylon. Additionally, a two-layer rayon carcass sandwiches a hard rubber in the sidewall between the body cord plies to help resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering.

With a combination of highway and city driving, and no track days, I hoped to get another 5K to 10K miles out of them, but it is time for replacements. Asexpected, road noise has increased with wear and they more uncertain in the wet, but not significantly so in either instance. If there was no difference in price, I\'d probably move to the Conti ExtremeContact DW or Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position. However, since these are on closeout with a rebate and my mileage has been better than most of the other reviewers\' experiences, I think I will get another set after all.
Review from September 23, 2014Rating: 8.12I can write this review with zero miles on the tires because this is my third set. The Hankook\'s are a very good value, probably the best value to performance tire I\'ve put on this car. And with 170kmiles on my Mustang, I\'ve put a lot of tires on this car. Unfortunately I bought this set a little before I needed them, because they were on close out. Which means that I won\'t be buying another set, but would definitely consider buyingthe replacement model. I use my car for commuting at least 3 days per week over a combination of curvey and straight highway and probably drive too fast on both. I have no issues driving fast or feeling safe and secure (even in wet weather) with the Ventus. Very good value to performace ratio, second only to the Bridgestones I put on this car, maybe 10 years ago. The one drawback, and this istrue for all directional tires, is that they wear our on the edge too fast, even with rotating, but this also has to do with my driving style and the road (highway 17) that I commute on. I\'ve put a new set of tires on after about 15-20k miles, except for the time I bought Kumhos with a 400 wear rating... But then I couldn\'t wait for them to wear out fast enough, because I was sliding all over the road. So, as everyone who buys performance tires knows, you go through them faster.Highly recommend
Review from September 1, 2014Rating: 8.25Very good tire for the price, I was blown away by the levels of performance and grip these tires added to my car. Because they do have softer sidewalls then the average the ride quality doesn\'t suffer too much over an All Season or even Performance All Seasons ride quality. Although there not pinpoint sharp they are very quiet tire on the highway and awesome in the rain. Perfect for an enthusiast driver, I would personally look for something different for use on a track though with tighter response and harder sidewalls.
